Windows 10: Last Version of Windows

The Internet got sock when a Microsoft developer, Jerry Nixon, was quoted as saying, "Right now we're releasing Windows 10, and because Windows 10 is the last version of Windows, we're all still working on Windows 10."

So will it be end of three decade long journey of Windows OS platform ? Oh, yes..!!  As  a MS spokesperson conformed Nixon's comments and said as MS pushes for "Windows to be delivered as a service" and also insured customers that Windows 10 will be remain up-to date thru  an automatic update sequence which can't be turn off.

Window as a service will include new features, new capabilities and new Windows apps, all created for the universal Windows platform, which will be encompass everything from phones to desktops computers and in addition to make the upgrade from Windows 7 or 8 to Windows 10  for free, the ongoing upgrade process will also be free but only for 1 year and will be chargeable.

MS has big plans for windows, including making it into a common platform with a single app store for any machine. While there will be differences between the Windows 10 intended for phones and the version intended for desktop and laptop computers. Clearly, you'd want a different user interface for a small device, such as a phone to a large computer, but deep inside, they'd all be exactly same.

The new editions of Windows 10 were introduced on May, 13 and they include Home, Pro, Enterprise, Education, Mobile and Mobile Enterprise. MS laid out all of the features of the various additions in a post on the Windows blog.

Windows 10 is set to be released this summer, likely by the end of July. MS has already announced that Windows 10 will be last last version of its operating system. Following its release, MS will continue to make system improvements over time.
